A&W Root Beer
- Canned by Full Service Beverage Company, General Offices, Wichita,
Kansas 67216 under the authority of Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc., Dallas,
- The Pitch:
- Since 1919
- The Ingredients:
- Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar, caramel color,
sodium benzoate (preservative), natural and artificial flavors.
- The box:
- Fruity, yet unpretentious. I always wanted to
say that but since I don't like wine I've never had the chance. It's
not really fruity, I just said that. Very good head that doesn't last
too long, medium color and carbonation. Pretty much your basic root
beer. Almost the exact same ingredients as IBC, though IBC throws some
extra stuff in. A little sweet, good flavor. Nothing stands out about
this drink, but there's nothing offensive about it either. It's pretty
nondescript. Just a good, drinkable drink. Middle of the road here -
the starting point upon which the great drafts are built - one of the
best of the megabrands. Survey says...a C.
